Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut in cubes
  • 3 -4 cups frozen hash browns, southern style ore-ida
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 grease a 1 quart casserole dish.
  • 3 in 1 quart saucepan over medium heat cook onions (in small amount of oil or butter) until tender.
  • 4 stir in soup and cream cheese, cook stirring until smooth and hot.
  • 5 in casserole alternate potatoes and hot sauce, end with sauce layer.
  • 6 cover and bake for 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • 7 remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese.
