Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 medium red potatoes, thinly sliced (unpeeled)
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter over low heat in medium saucepan.
  • 2 blend in flour, then add milk, all at once.
  • 3 cook, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
  • 4 add shredded cheese, season and continue to cook until cheese melts.
  • 5 remove from heat.
  • 6 layer cheese sauce and potatoes/onions beginning and ending with cheese sauce.
  • 7 bake at 350°f for about 1 hour.
