Creamed Mint Peas And Potatoes

Ingredients

- 3 medium potatoes, peeled,diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon dried mint or 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves, chopped
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 place potatoes in medium saucepan.
- 2 add cold water to barely cover potatoes; add one teaspoon salt.
- 3 bring to boil over moderate heat; cook ten to fifteen minutes or until tender; drain.
- 4 meanwhile, separately cook peas according to package directions.
- 5 drain the peas, stir in the mint; keep warm until needed.
- 6 add milk and butter to potatoes; heat until bubbling.
- 7 combine flour and 1 tablespoon water; mix well.
- 8 add to potatoes; cook, stirring, until thickened.
- 9 add peas; mix well.
- 10 season with salt and pepper to taste.
