Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- 6 ounces cream cheese with herbs
- 1 cup swiss cheese, grated
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 5 medium baking potatoes
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a medium saucepan; whisk in flour.
- 2 cook 2 or 3 minutes without browning, stirring constantly.
- 3 whisk in milk.
- 4 bring to a boil.
- 5 reduce heat, simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- 6 add herbed cheese, swiss, cheddar, garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- 7 stir until cheese melts.
- 8 peel and slice potatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
- 9 layer potatoes and sauce alternately in a buttered 9 inch casserole dish, ending with the sauce.
- 10 sprinkle with parmesan.
- 11 bake in preheated 350°f oven for 1 1/2 hours.
- 12 let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
