City Oyster Potato Lasagna - Potato/sweet Potato Gratin

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 10 ounces sweet potatoes
  • 5 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 peel and slice all potatoes to the width of a nickel (2 mm slicing disc makes quick work of it).
  • 3 toss slices with garlic in a large bowl, easiest by hand.
  • 4 oil a 9x9 baking dish or use silicone.
  • 5 layer potatoes in 3 layers -- putting 1/3 of the cheese on each layer.
  • 6 heat cream over medium heat and add salt and pepper. pour over casserole.
  • 7 gently press to be sure all is covered.
  • 8 bake 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
  • 9 let sit 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
