Clam Chowder

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans minced clams, with juice
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 quart half-and-half
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 cook vegetables until tender, then drain.
  • 2 melt butter, add flour and mix well.
  • 3 ad half and half and stir constantly with a wire whip until smooth and thick.
