Cheesy Shepherd's Pie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 3 cups hot mashed potatoes
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 -2 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400º and grease an 8x8 baking dish.
  • 2 for topping, combine half the soup with the mashed potatoes and set aside.
  • 3 brown beef, onion, garlic and pepper, drain.
  • 4 stir in cheddar and parmesan cheese.
  • 5 add the vegetables--i like broccoli, carrots, peas or mixed veggies--with the rest of the soup, worcestershire and oregano.
  • 6 spoon meat mixture into pan, spread the potato mixture over that.
  • 7 bake 20 minutes or until topping is a nice golden brown.
