Cheese Rosti

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs potatoes, boiled in their skins
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup bacon, diced or 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 2 ounces sliced gruyere (5-6 slices)

Recipe

  • 1 peel and shred potatoes.
  • 2 heat butter in skillet, add potatoes, diced bacon and or onions and sprinkle with salt.
  • 3 when a crust begins to form on the bottom, turn the rosti, top with cheese slices and press down.
  • 4 cover tightly so that the cheese will melt nicely and cook until golden brown.
  • 5 serve on a plate.
