Creamed Peas And New Potatoes

Ingredients

- 1 lb tiny new potatoes
- 1 1/2 cups peas
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 scrub potatoes, and cut any large ones in half.
- 2 in a medium sauce pan, cook potatoes in a small amount of boiling salted water for 10 minutes.
- 3 add peas and cook 5 to 10 minutes more. drain.
- 4 in same sauce pan, melt margarine over medium high heat and cook onion until tender.
- 5 stir in flour, salt and pepper.
- 6 add milk all at once. cook and stir until thickened.
- 7 cook and stir 1 minute more, then add potatoes and peas. heat through.
