Buttered Potato Soup (klapsakkaa)

Ingredients

- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups half-and-half
- salt and pepper
- 1 dash ground allspice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 4 teaspoons butter
Recipe
- 1 in a medium saucepan, beat potatoes and milk with a whisk until smooth.
- 2 stir in half and half.
- 3 stir over medium heat until soup barely comes to a boil.
- 4 add salt and pepper to taste.
- 5 sprinkle top with a dash of allspice.
- 6 ladle into individual bowls or mugs.
- 7 garnish with parsley and 1/2 teaspoon butter.
- 8 serve immediately.
