- 1 russet baking potato
- 1 teaspoon oil or 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 pinch salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375.
- 2 choose a russet potato free of blemishes.
- 3 wash potatoes under running water with a vegetable scrubber brush.
- 4 pat potato dry.
- 5 poke the potato all around with a fork for steam to release.
- 6 spray or rub oil or butter lightly over potato.
- 7 sprinkle salt over the potato.
- 8 place potato directly on convection oven rack.
- 9 bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. turn potato over halfway through baking time.
- 10 remove from oven when baked.
- 11 cut or squish top of potato carefully.
- 12 garnish with butter, yogurt, spices or other condiments.
- 13 idea: reserve skin to make a baked potato skin with cheese later.
