Cheesy Ham Chowder

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked ham (diced)
  • 1 (10 1/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine potatoes and celery in a pot of water and bring to a boil. cover and cook for 10 minutes or until veggies are tender.
  • 2 in a saucepan melt butter and then add onion. cook onion until tender but not browned.
  • 3 when potatoes and celery are done, drain water and then put back in pot. add onion, ham, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and salt and pepper.
  • 4 let heat up for 5 minutes to combine flavors and then add cheese and mix constantly.
  • 5 once cheese has melted, serve and enjoy.
