Amager Island Stew (amagergryde)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb ham or 1 lb smoked lamb butt
- 16 ounces water
- 1 (16 ounce) bag frozen peas and carrots, defrosted
- 1 lb new potato
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons flour
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 bunch parsley, rough chopped
Recipe
- 1 cut the ham or lamb into small squares. peel the potatoes and cut them into small squares.
- 2 in a dutch oven, bring the ham and potatoes to a boil and continue cooking until the stew is almost cooked through (15-20 min) and then add the peas and carrots.
- 3 mix the butter and flour and add to the mixture. return to a boil and boil for 5 minute.
- 4 add salt and pepper. add the parsley on top of the dish.
