Country "sausage" Patties

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or any oil)
- 3 cups water
- 1/3 cup light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons thyme
- 2 tablespoons sage
- 1/8 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon african bird cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- salt (with the soy sauce you may not need it)
- 1/2 cup onion, grated
- 4 cups quick oats
- 4 cups pecan meal
Recipe
- 1 heat a large non-stick skillet and add 2 tablespoons olive oil (or any oil you like).
- 2 put the 3 cups water in a large bowl.
- 3 add soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, sage, poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper and salt.
- 4 mix well.
- 5 add grated onion.
- 6 add oats and pecan meal.
- 7 mix and stir well, mashing mixture with back of the spoon as you stir and mix.
- 8 drop by large spoonfuls into a hot skillet in shape of patties.
- 9 brown well on both sides.
- 10 eat as sausage patties on a biscuit for breakfast, or put a gravy on them and bake them for 15 minutes in 400 degree fahrenheit oven until hot and bubbly. serve with mashed potatoes, a vegetable and salad.
