Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 4 lbs creamer potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons chives
  • 2 tablespoons alfredo sauce mix (recommended ( mccormick)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a large pot cover potatoes with cold water by 1-inch.
  • 2 add garlic salt and bring to a boil over high heat.
  • 3 lower temperature and simmer until tender.
  • 4 while potatoes are simmering, pour buttermilk in a saucepan and add butter.
  • 5 bring to a simmer.
  • 6 add chives and alfredo sauce mix.
  • 7 remove from heat and set aside.
  • 8 drain potatoes and return to the pot.
  • 9 using a potato masher, coarsely mash the potatoes until smooth.
  • 10 slowly add the buttermilk mixture and mix until creamy.
  • 11 season with salt and pepper, to taste.
