Creamy Ham Potatoes

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups fully-cooked ham, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup or 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 in a slow cooker, layer potatoes, onion& ham.
  • 2 in a saucepan, melt butter.
  • 3 stir in flour, mustard, salt& pepper until smooth.
  • 4 combine soup& water; gradually stir into flour mixture.
  • 5 bring to a boil; cook& stir for 2 minutes or until thickened& bubbly.
  • 6 pour over ham.
  • 7 cover & cook on low for 7-8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
  • 8 sprinkle with cheese before serving.
