Buttermilk Herbed Mashed Potatoes

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 ounce fresh chives
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 peel and slice potatoes into chunks.
  • 2 in large pot, add potatoes and cover with water.
  • 3 place pot on medium heat cooktop and bring to boil.
  • 4 cook until potatoes are fork tender.
  • 5 drain water thoroughly and return potatoes to same pot. add butter and begin mashing. add buttermilk, salt, pepper and chives.
  • 6 mash until you are happy with consistency.
