Austin's Hyde Park Bar & Grill Famous French Fries

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 large potato
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons black pepper
  • canola oil
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 scrub to clean the skin nof a large idaho potato; do not peel.
  • 2 slice into large fries.
  • 3 place into bowl filled with buttermilk.
  • 4 toss a few slices at a time in flour mixed with the black pepper.
  • 5 fry in hot canola oil 2-to-3 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy on the outside.
